Every tutor teaches only the subject they specialise in, and works from your child’s own exam board. Before anyone teaches for us they have an interview and give us a demo lesson, and your child keeps the same tutor from week to week.

Richmond Tutoring charges £36 for a 60-minute one-to-one online maths lesson, with no contract or placement fee. The first 45-minute lesson is free.
Usually when one of these is true: marks are slipping, homework is being avoided, your child has started saying they are “not a maths person”, or an exam that matters is less than a year away. If you are not sure, book the free demo class. If we do not think your child needs lessons, we will tell you.
For maths it works very well. The tutor sees your child’s working appear live on a shared whiteboard, so the step that went wrong gets fixed there and then, and every lesson is recorded so a method can be watched again. There is no travel either side.
It is a real 45-minute maths lesson with a specialist, not a sales call, and you are welcome to sit in. The tutor works out where your child needs support, and you leave with a learning plan. There is no obligation to book.
Once a week suits most students. It keeps pace with school and leaves time to practise in between. Some families add a second lesson in the run-up to GCSE or A-Level exams.
